MANIFESTO
Àngel Duran
A contemporary dance piece in which five bodies channel the spirit of subcultures, claiming public space and igniting a collective fervour.
MANIFESTO is a monument to the rebellions that blaze and burn out – a tribute to all those who found refuge in the intensity of the moment.
Àngel Duran is a choreographer and performer trained in Austria. After a period working with various European companies and choreographers, he established his own artistic project. His work has toured internationally and earned numerous awards and distinctions, among them two Butaca Awards and a MAX Award. His performance research revolves around the human condition as lived through the body – a space of thought, identity and emotion. Influenced by theatre and humanism, he has developed a language of his own that combines demanding physicality with powerful expressive intensity.
