The performers wear jumping boots. Their bodies bounce. Every impact is amplified. This is dance you do not just watch – it is dance you hear and feel.

With jumping boots on their feet, bodies bounce, propel themselves and push past their limits. The floor becomes a resonating chamber, amplifying every impact. Sound, captured and distorted in real time, builds a vibrant landscape in which dance is not only something you watch but something you hear and feel. Baunsbak is a physical journey between exaltation and collapse, between the inertia of movement and the search for balance, between impulse and fatigue – a piece that pushes bodies to their limits, exploring the bounce at once as a physical action and a metaphor for resilience and recovery.

Elvi Balboa is an artist trained in choreography and dance whose work takes the body as a territory of exploration, questioning conventional notions of movement and drawing in architecture, light and soundscapes. For Balboa, the body is both expressive medium and agent of friction and thought – a catalyst that disrupts the relationship between identity, collectivity and environment. His work has taken shape in projects including Anöa and Baunsbak, selected for two leading Spanish performance circuits, Danza a Escena and Red Acieloabierto.
