Souvenir Tossols
Àngels Margarit
Practical information and accessibility
The dancers perform repeating movement sequences over a two-hour period. You can join at the start of any sequence and are welcome to take part in as many, or as few, as you like.
Suitable for all audiences. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
We recommend walking or cycling. From the Teatre Principal you can walk there for about 30 minutes (2 km) at a leisurely pace.
To get to Els Tossols by car you can park around the Fonts de Sant Roc (about 15 minutes on foot) or in the Parc Atlètic Tossols car park (about 15 minutes on foot).
To access Els Tossols there is a steep slope that may make access difficult for people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility. Accompanying is essential. If you need more information, you can write to us at eforment@olot.cat.
Coffee will be available from 10 am. Feel free to arrive early and enjoy a coffee on the grass before the performance begins.
At the end of Souvenir Tossols, from 12'30 pm onwards, vermouth will be served for anyone who would like to stay and linger a little longer.
A participatory work for outdoor and green spaces, in which participants are invited to follow a sequence of movements guided by voice and observation.
Souvenir Tossols is suitable for all audiences. A blend of play and meditation that gives rise to a collective choreography: a series of movements conceived for the surrounding space and emerging from careful observation of it. A work about movement, space and the thinking that leads to movement.
Souvenir was originally conceived as a public-space intervention in 2004, as part of URBS, Laboratori sobre l’àmbit urbà, a project by Àngels Margarit / Cia. Mudances. Souvenir Tossols brings this work back to life within Olot’s public and rural landscape.
Àngels Margarit is a dancer, choreographer, teacher and curator. Her works with Àngels Margarit / Cia. Mudances have been presented at festivals and venues worldwide. Over the course of her career, she has developed numerous projects spanning creation, pedagogy and the sharing and promotion of dance. She has received many national and international awards, including the Grand Prix du Concours Chorégraphique de Bagnolet for Kolbebasar, the Government of Catalonia’s National Dance Prize and Spain’s National Dance Prize from the Ministry of Culture. After several years as director of Mercat de les Flors, Àngels Margarit is gently returning to her practice as a performer and creator, most recently through the revival of works such as Souvenir Tossols for Sismògraf 2026.
