Exposar i representar les nostres geologies ancestrals
Justine Berthillot / CFGM de Revestiments Murals
An artistic creation process with Justine Berthillot and students from the Intermediate Vocational Training Course in Mural Arts.
The starting point for this work is our own stories – the ones we remember, the ones we have heard a thousand times, the ones we wished we had been told, and the ones we wished we had never heard at all. From these stories, materials, objects, words and gestures are gathered to reconstruct intimate ancestral geologies, weaving them into something broader and collective. Moving between poetry, installation and performance, the work seeks to activate personal universes through space, matter and the body.
The outcomes of this process will be shown at the Claustre del Carme, as part of Notre forêt / Huella.
* The term “ancestral geologies” is borrowed from L’odeur des pierres mouillées by the transgender poet Léa Rivière.
