Oblivion, which also means amnesty or pardon, is a place of transformation between mourning and emptiness, between memory and nothingness. Oblivion could be an image of the classic purgatory, as described by Dante in The Divine Comedy. A place of transition conditioned by the idea of the circle, by the eternal wandering of bodies, as if the act of wandering was ultimately a kind of letting go, a relinquishment of everything that ties us to suffering: memories, desires, identity. To wander, vacare in Latin, means to roam, to float, to ramble, but also to be empty. Oblivion is an increasingly easy path to follow, a dance of growing entropy. All things considered, perhaps the beyond and oblivion are one and the same thing.

Silvia Batet is a company made up of dancers, musicians and lighting designers. They made their debut in 2017 and have presented four pieces since then: La doble hélice, Pas de Carla, Iris, Raquel y Goretti, Réquiem and Oblivion.
