Practical Information and Accessibility
We recommend coming on foot or by bike.
From the Teatre Principal it is around 45 minutes’ walk (3 km) at a leisurely pace.
If you are coming by car, two parking options are available near the start of the route at Parc de Pedra Tosca:
1/ Parc Atlètic Tossols car park – around 15 minutes’ walk (1 km)
2/ Baixador de Matabosch car park – around 10 minutes’ walk (700 m)
Please add the length of the artistic trail itself – approximately 2 km – to these distances.
This is a site-specific performance that follows paths across uneven ground, with some steep gradients, which may present difficulties for wheelchair users and visitors with reduced mobility. A companion is essential. For more information, please contact us at eforment@olot.cat.
Comfortable footwear is strongly recommended.
This performance takes place at the Parc de Pedra Tosca, within the Parc Natural de la Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa. Please respect and care for the natural environment.
Bufadors is a live arts journey through the Parc de Pedra Tosca, created in collaboration with third-year secondary school students from INS Bosc de la Coma.
The project grew from a desire to explore the bufadors of the Parc Natural de la Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa – natural fissures that blow air at a near-constant temperature (around 12ºC) throughout the year and one of the most singular features of this volcanic landscape.
Bufadors invites audiences to experience science from a different angle, turning the natural environment and its landscape features into performance spaces. It is live art celebrating landscape and geology, volcanism, cave ecosystems, historical heritage and the sensory experiences inspired by the underground, the unknown and territories yet to be explored.
Some 130 third-year secondary school students from INS Bosc de la Coma took part in the project, working alongside an artistic and scientific team:
Aimar Pérez Galí – dancer, choreographer, researcher, educator and writer; co-director of the collective CondeGalí.
Aram Pou Clavell – trained in circus, performing arts and public-space art; develops projects that combine live arts, environmental education and landscape interventions.
Azucena Momo – works with the body, ecology and transmission; founded Irregulars in 2019 to create walking and contemporary dance projects in public spaces.
Moon Ribas – cyborg artist and choreographer; for a number of years she wore implants that allowed her to perceive seismic movement, exploring how technology can open new ways of inhabiting the body and the stage.
Montdedutor – work across dance, architecture, theatre and opera, using humour, absurdity and music to bring live arts closer to audiences.
Llorenç Planagumà Guàrdia – has taken part in the Volcans i Escola (Volcanoes and School) programme at the Parc Natural de la Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa; author of the guide map Els bufadors volcànics.
