Transmissions: conferència ballada sobre danses urbanes
Cia. Guille Vidal-Ribas
Practical information and accessibility
As part of the Al Primer Pis initiative: while the stalls are reserved for children and young students attending performances organised by performing arts education programmes, those aged 65 and over can take seats on the theatre’s first floor and enjoy the same shows programmed for the students, at a greatly reduced price.
After Transmissions, there will be a Q&A session with the company.
Transmissions is a lecture-performance combining music, audiovisual material, spoken word and movement to explore urban dance in all its dimensions.
Where, when and why did these forms of expression emerge? What defines them? How did they reach us? What impact have they had on the world of dance and on popular culture more broadly, from the late 20th century to the present day?
Transmissions draws on more than two decades of experience in urban dance and an extensive process of documentary research and interviews with pioneering figures and leading national and international practitioners.
