Aloma Lafontana is a wearable sculpture artist who explores the inner realm of the feminine body in relation to the objects around her. Her work delves into the intersection between the body and ornament, between the body and dressed objects that act as layers of symbolism. Aloma Lafontana creates sculptures that adapt to the body and are made with natural and upcycled materials. Creation and environmental awareness are closely intertwined in her work. Sismògraf shall feature an exhibition of her personal work.
Having graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona and holding a Master’s Degree in Costume Design for Theatre (IED), Aloma Lafontana was part of the head team at OSLO Barcelona, a workshop open to the public that gives impetus to the creativity of Barcelona’s many young contemporary artists. She has gone on to pursue her own creative projects, both personal ones and commissions for other artists and companies.
