Ballar és cosa de llibres is an educational resource for primary school students. A participatory performing arts proposal in which you decide whether to dance with books or watch other people dancing with a book. A show in which a book can become your dance partner, or your companion. Ballar és cosa de llibres takes us on a stimulating journey, an experience halfway between the power of dance and the magic of literature. Dancing with books or being captivated by a body dancing with a book. Discovering the pleasure of dancing while we read, of reading while we dance, of dancing what we read or reading what we dance.

Ballar és cosa de llibres is a piece directed and performed by Pere Faura, Claudia SolWat and Javier Vaquero. Pere Faura’s work is characterised by the appropriation of elements of pop culture remixed into multidisciplinary choreographies. He is also a programmer and designer of sets for artistic exhibitions. Claudia SolWat engages in activities related to research, creation, teaching and dance production. And Javier Vaquero pursues his own work as a choreographer and teaches in various establishments. He is a founding member of the Espai Pràctic and is a member of the artists’ collective ARTAS.
