Technology has become an extension of our body and a prison at the same time, a modern version of Plato’s cave. Simulation is addictive and more appealing than reality. The infinite expansion and editing of the self is the symbol of the new freedom: a dystopian version of the former yearning for immortality. This proposal reveals the clash between impetus and sensitivity, false freedom and real freedom. Under the pretext of presenting the performer in a cocoon of light, the new identity is called into question, the uniqueness of Plato’s new caves, the dance of lights that make up the new blindness, the cables that represent the new chains.
