A contemporary circus piece blending acrobatic balances, pole work and elements of popular culture.

Drawing on folk traditions, the piece reimagines giants and traditional dances through the language of contemporary circus. CLAM celebrates simple living, freedom, play and resistance. Suitable for all audiences, it can be performed in public squares and other unconventional spaces. The circular stage echoes the traditional circus ring and festive gatherings, with the audience surrounding the action equally, without hierarchy. A performance that is simple, impressive and fun.

Cia. Fèmut was founded in 2022 to create a contemporary circus trio. Raimon Mató, Júlia Clarà Badosa and Àfrica Llorens had previously collaborated on projects such as Envà (Cia. Amer and Àfrica) and Estat d’Emergència (Producció Nacional de Circ), as well as hand-to-hand creations like NoCal (Àfrica Llorens and Júlia Clarà Badosa) and A Voltes (Raimon Mató and Àfrica Llorens). After sharing acrobatic practice and discovering a shared artistic vision, they came together to create a show as Cia. Fèmut.
