Drawing takes centre stage, a subjective rendering of what the stage productions arouse. We draw things that have been going on around us for over fifteen thousand years. Before the written word we had painting, probably the oldest record of our ability to create, to capture the mark of the observer.
Traç / moviment dibuixat (Illustrated Stroke/Movement) is a glimpse, through drawing, at the different stage acts in the Sismògraf Festival. Is a point of connection between the stage and the visual arts. Sismògraf’s pieces expressed in drawings. Maria Camila Sanjinés’s perspective captured in sketches.
The drawings featured in this art report will be printed in limited and signed copies and will gradually fill Can Trinxeria’s exhibition hall.

The work of Maria Camila Sanjinés takes an interest in the liaison between contemporary art and other disciplines. She has carried out projects at biennials, festivals and cultural centres around the world, the most notable among which are Sismògraf (Olot), the Salmon Festival (Barcelona), Fundación Telefónica – ARCO (Madrid), ARTLIMA (Lima), ARTBO – Directora Articularte (Bogotá), Can Felipa (Barcelona), Mapping Festival (Geneva), and Sonic Circuits – National Museum of Women in the Arts (Washington DC). She has drawn visual reports for the HAY Festival (Cartagena), FLECHO (Quibdó), and the magazines Arcadia and Cromos.
