A blend of dance and language, bodies and words, reading and movement.

Bestiari Dixit is part of the Balla’m un llibre project, initiated by the Association of Dance Professionals of Catalonia and Libraries of Catalonia. The piece draws inspiration from Joan Fuster i Ortells’ Bestiari, bringing the pictorial potential and imagery of aphorisms to the stage. It is an exploration of the intersection between literary material and movement, between form and gesture, encompassing words, sound (voice) and movement. The words resonate with the body and movement, imbuing it with meaning.
Artist Anna Llimós collaborates by creating an installation using modular pieces that generate images and engage in a dialogue with the moving bodies and, simultaneously, with Joan Fuster’s work.

Urša Sekirnik and Mireia de Querol have collaborated on various projects within the Big Bouncers Collective and both are members of the management team at La Visiva. Bestiari Dixit is a collaborative artistic endeavour, where they take on roles as both performers and creators.
Mireia de Querol, based in Barcelona, is a dancer, independent creator and contemporary dance teacher. She holds a Degree in Modern Theatre Dance from the Theaterschool, Amsterdam School of the Arts (AHK).
Urša Sekirnik, a graduate of the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD) works as a performer, dancer and teacher. In 2010, she co-founded KUD NUM, a multidisciplinary artistic collective and production company located in Škofja Loka, Slovenia.
