Everything comes to an end. It all stops. We are a big universal fart. And what are we supposed to do? There is a wealth of evidence. But none of us knows what to do about it, how to turn it round, how to cope with it. It’s scary, isn’t it? It’s awfully scary. Nothing can be done. How could we do anything? Everybody keep still. We are expecting a storm, a flash of lightning, a clap of thunder. We are expecting for Christ to come down and see it. A voice that speaks. A voice that speaks and a body that does. And we, the listeners, who rush in, what do we do? What do they do, what do they do, what do they do! A huge mask of night clouds, with star teeth and star eyes, and a nose of swirling stars. A voice that speaks and a body that does, yes. A body that stops, reflects and lingers. It thinks about what to do. We will pull through if we think. Our mind is in a state of collapse, but we will pull through if we think.
David Climent is a performer, stage director, playwright and teacher. In 2003, he set up LosCorderos.sc with Pablo Molinero, a company that has won the Critics’ Prize, the City of Barcelona Prize and the Sebastià Gasch FAD Prize, among others. Apart from LosCorderos.sc,
David Climent has worked as a creator, co-director, performer and advisor in several stage productions.
Íntims Produccions is a group of people (Isaac Baró, Marc Cartanyà, Sandra Pujol and Oriol Tosquella) who got together in 2012 to create stage productions. As a resident company at the Sala Beckett during the 2021-22 season, they have created Dels intestins una soga i del cul un sac de gemecs.
